I always enjoy coming here, but I wish they were open for lunch during the winter months. The food improved as the evening went on, but around 6:30 it was a bit too loud and the music choice was too funky for my taste. It was loud enough to be distracting from conversation. View all feedback.
What Remidemic doesn't like about Trading Post NYC:
I would go back for a burrito. I had a carnitas a pollo asado taco. It’s a cute spot for lunch for sure. Staff was real nice. I’m more of a flower tortilla guy over the corn I got. The carnitas were really tasty. There’s some stiff competition downtown for tacos. That being said, I’m spoiled with the toppings bar at other spots and will prob go elsewhere for a taco next time. Awesome service and location! Was staying in Manhattan for the weekend and loved this near by restaurant.
It was a beautiful sunny day so a few friends and I decided to come to Trading Post for lunch.
While South Street Seaport was overrun by promotional activities during evening Happy Hour, we were pleasantly surprised to find quiet outdoor seating at
The waiter was friendly and professional, but had too many tables. The food was salty and had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. He used to enjoy this place, but will probably not be back now.
Have eaten here several times. Was surprised that with a reservation we were still sitting at a booth looking into the kitchen. We could have asked to be moved, but we didn't want to. The waiter was very enthusiastic, but failed to fill glasses of water without being asked. My husband's lasagna was a huge brick in the middle of an unadorned plate. A little salad or something green and crispy would have been nice. Not an à la carte fan, especially when it comes to the price of the main course alone. The room was very dark and a bit noisy. I would ask not to sit in this area another time.
