We were attending an evening lecture at the NY Historical Society, so Storico could not have been more convenient. Unfortunately, our waitress was not familiar with the cocktail menu; after several misunderstandings each resulting with the wrong order, the bartender personally came to our table to finally rectify the situation. My favourite place when visiting the nyhs and amnh. eating is better than most places close, especially at midday. service can be slow and many server are not as knowledgeable as they could be, but it does not prevent me from bringing my friends and family. Know what you expect and enjoy it for what it is. regardless of negative experiences I had, I still think of this place a jewel.
It was great to have a restaurant of this quality in the museum. the atmosphere is charming and the lunch was delicious. it was a great idea to let the menu reflect the exhibition.
At 5p.m when they opened when we had tickets for the 6:30. we have about 5:10. we have not received our salat or our escape until 6:00 a.m. after we told the server at 5:40 that we needed our choices. the chicken stable of my man was cold and my laugh was cooked. we couldn't send any escapes back, as we had to leave for the order, I suggest that the restaurant is open at 4:30 a.m. when there is an order. even if they check in with the maitre d they have to ask if they have lecture cards. my experience was extremely poor, we will not eat in storico aghain.
Ruben was fantastic. even if a reservation had to wait for the bad table at the door.
Service was terrible. Please do something about it because the food was incredible as always but the service was so poor, I don’t want to go back.
