Despite some mixed reviews, Ponty Bistro seems to be a hidden gem in Harlem offering inventive cuisine that combines French inspiration with African/Senegalese spice and flavor. The prices are reasonable, the portions are generous, and the food is described as delicious. The service may be a bit slow and inattentive at times, but the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. This is definitely a hidden gem in Harlem! I absolutely loved everything from the vibes to the bread to the food and drinks. The servers were very kind but the service in itself was just very slow. It took me over 15 minutes to order a drink and I wasn't asked if I wanted another one when I finished. After we received our food, nobody came to ask us if everything was okay. I went on a Friday around 4pm and it wasn't... View all feedback.
What BklynMama K dislikes about Ponty Bistro - Harlem:
The service here was perfectly attentive, and they were nice about our party being big and arriving late. However, I was really shocked at the prices on the menu especially for the location. If the food had measured up to the prices, I probably wouldn't be writing the review this way, but the kale salad was 99.9% kale and .1% other things. The cheese board included hard parmigiana which was impossible to cut into and... View all feedback.
Incredible restaurant in harlem! great food and great service! recommend the escargot and the onglet
One of the best restaurants I was in. the poisson yassa is a headbeat. beautiful cocktails too.
Went To Open table as I wanted a place in the Harlem Area. Great vibe and everyone was very pleasant. Highly recommend and will return
I loved my time there. Our waitress was amazing and knew what we wanted before we asked. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was busy. Right next to us was a group of ladies that work with a mentorship program. They mentor at risk youths. So if I had to choose which was the best it would be that they open their doors for groups like that. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
