The ambiance is described as romantic and cozy, with vintage decor and warm wooden walls. The Mediterranean food selection is delicious, with a plentiful wine list to complement the dishes. The service is noted to be friendly and charming, adding to the overall dining experience. While the font on the menu may require a flashlight for some, the culinary experience is described as top-notch and unique in the neighborhood. Whether attending events at the 92nd St. Y or looking for a reliable neighborhood spot, Peri Ela offers a delicious and enjoyable dining experience.
Peri ela on lexington avenue has opened 13 years ago when we lived a block away. we often went, but since then moved and returned to dinner before a 92 st. Y-Event a block north. the beautiful place is completely unchanged. romantic lace curtains, from the charts vintage lighting, oversized works of art with all female themes, warm decorative wooden walls and beautiful bar. the Mediterranean selection and wine list is plentiful and tasteful, the bartender and server are charming women, the owner and their two daughters, the names of the restaurant. it is a romantic, cozy, quiet, tasty, beautiful tempo-rich culinary experience in a 10 star ambiente. nothing in this neighborhood of ues carnegie hill compares it. (you need a flashlight at night for the small font menus. 3/8/20
Peri ela is my visit at 92y events. reliable, delicious food, rustic decor, intimate culinary experience, combined with a comfortable location in carnegie hill.
Had an early weekday dinner. The place is beautiful, the food delicious and the service friendly and attentive.
Grilled bronzino excellent; Grilled octopus salad fresh with tasty salad; Almond pudding with pistachios on top was light, authentic and very delicious. Highly recommend and will return.
Nice ambiance and gracious hostess. The food was a bit disappointing flavorless artichoke heart and creamed spinach (but with a good flavor) but the smoked eggplant was delicious.
