Plan a last minute business lunch after reviewing the online reviews. We were not disappointed. From the provolenta (I think that's the name) and stuffed prawn starters to the delicious fillet and the spread for the rolls, our meal was delicious. The owner was behind the bar and was very accommodating. I will definitely come back on my next visit to the area. View all feedback.
What Zion Kreiger doesn't like about Maxwell's Chophouse:
What a waste of money! We looked forward to this place, and seriously, it was expected food for an exorbitant amount of cash. The hostess was rude and the culinary experience was painfully average. View all feedback.
I would like to provide a more accurate review of this restaurant because it truly is a wonderful place. The atmosphere and service are fantastic! Our appetizers of French onion soup and lobster cocktail were delightful. However, we were disappointed to find that our porterhouse steak for two was cold. Despite the excellent taste, a cold steak in a steakhouse is unacceptable. Although the staff kindly offered to replace the steak, we were unable to wait.
The steak is excellent, portions are large and. A shared/served family style. Our waiter Fernando was amazing!
Beautiful ambience and menu. Four of us have dinner and chose various steaks (house specialty). The most important courses were all warm, like most pages. One side was very hot, one side was stone cold. We point out that the waiter (three times), whose only answer was “i’ll tell chef”. No excuse, no action. The food looked really nice, but is served while it's still hot too much to ask? Then nothing to do if the customer shows the problem. I'd expect more of a $80 meal, never mind a $800. The first and last time here.
Nice restaurant, great service. Had one of the best steaks in Manhattan.
Go Here! It was a wonderful meal in a beautiful space reminiscent of 30’s glamour. The drinks were as outstanding as the the prime beef and the attentive service.
