I was visiting NY for the weekend from Washington DC. I would return to this restaurant. It's location across from the subway is very convenient if you want to have dinner before an event. We ordered the ribeye and filet mignon. Both cuts of meat were excellent, seasoned and done perfectly. The wait staff was very attentive. The wine list is a little pricey. Even if you bring your own bottle, the corkage fee is $50. View all feedback.
I have been to a number of Michael White restaurants and they never disappoint, Costata was on par if not better than his other restaurants. I absolutely LOVED the food, everything was on point and I am a VERY picky eater. The wait staff was incredible and the wines were very unique. My only complaint was that we sat next to the wine fridge which was cold and made noise, we could have asked to change tables but didn't want to even bother, but if anyone from Costata reads this, I suggest this be the last table you ever sit people in. I highly recommend the restaurant and am looking forward to going back and having that halibut again!
The Lobster Cocktail appetizer was very tasty as was the Camillini dessert. However, the Costata ribeye steals the show!!!
Great restaurant that was recommended by Michael White followers not a typical NY Steak house great steaks, fantastic burger, good sides and some real interesting dishes try the short rib raviolis and the potato buds foods all great and service excellent take a walk around its a cool looking place! OK for a late night meal
Luxurious and comfortable surroundings, excellent service and some of the best halibut one can find anywhere in the city. Highly recommended.
Absolutely LOVED Costata...I highly recommend their steaks. The service was great...just the right amount of attentiveness. Beautiful atmosphere as well.
