Architecturally fascinating. A seemingly endless variety of food stands, restaurants vendors selling lots of locally made merchandise. A journey through the market is always interesting. I felt drawn to stop peruse constantly! View all feedback.
What Michael Q doesn't like about Chelsea Market:
i'll never order from here again because the Tom Yum soup was nothing but plain white mushrooms and three tiny shrimp that weren't fresh. The soup also contained a lot of circular shaped plant matter that was in edible. No one could eat them they're like wire. The soup was packed with them. The pad Thai was very dry and flavorless, the chicken being so over cooked I couldn't even swallow it. They didn't even includ... View all feedback.
On my first visit to Chelsea Market in the heart of New York City, I found it quite impressive. It's not just a food and shopping place, it's a vibrant and diverse cultural hub in the middle of Manhattan. There's so much variety in food from fresh seafood to artisanal cheese, and international cuisines from every corner of the world. The gelato shop was a sweet highlight, and the numerous bakeries were simply tempting with their pastries and breads. Shopping wise, there's everything from trendy boutiques to unique craft stores. It's typically crowded and buzzing with energy, full of locals and tourists alike. It can seem overwhelming, but it's a great spot to immerse yourself in New York's lively food scene and eclectic culture.
This place looks great for shopping and eating, unfortunately we got there close to closing and didn't get to explore it too much. It's right off the highline so convenient to lots of other activities if you don't mind walking a little bit.
Once a manufacturing site for National Biscuits Company(Nabisco), now a vibrant and lively market hosting specialty shops, large variety of restaurants and bars, Chelsea Market attracts large crowds, locals and tourists combined. Chelsea Market has wide range of food selections. The most popular ones are tacos(Mexican), ramen (Asian), German beers, seafood market. Though they are too popular to find a seat if you go at a dinner time. The decorations are colorful and tasteful. It’s a good experience walking around and feel the lively and energetic atmosphere. But I feel it’s overpriced. I may have paid 20% more by eating there than if going to a similar restaurant for only one block away.
This was my first visit to Chelsea market and had to admit it was really good. It truly has a mix of variety of foods to try out, an awesome gelato place, various store selling bakery items etc. It was buzzing with a lot of people. But will not let you down for sure.!
One of my favorite places on earth ?. Great dinner options, fabulous environment. We did restaurant hopping and tried different dining options and drinks. Everyone is very courteous, friendly and happy. (Filaga Pizzeria, Korean noodles, the fruit market are great, but overall the Market itself is magical Highly recommended!
