Ishtar Donair - New Westminster

The donair at this restaurant is excellent! It has great flavor and we were impressed by the cleanliness of the kitchen. Everything tasted fresh and you can ask for extra sauce if needed. We ordered two beef/lamb donairs and were very satisfied with them. We also saw another customer order the chicken salad and it looked fantastic too!

I had lunch at this restaurant today and really enjoyed the beef and lamb platter! The meat was juicy, well seasoned, and the garlic and sweet sauce was a nice touch. The rice was cooked perfectly and I loved the yogurt dip with my pita bread. The sweet sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste, so I'll ask for less of it next time. The owner served me with a smile and the prices were reasonable. I will definitely be back when I'm craving some delicious food! Parking is available in the plaza.

This is hands down the best chicken/falafel platter I have ever had in my 42 years. The portions are generous and fairly priced, with non-dairy options available. The environment is clean and the owner is polite, attentive, and clearly puts his heart into the food.

One of the best places for middle eastern food in New West. The owner is from Iraq and knows what's up. Generous and friendly. I look forward to treating myself here from time to time. The Baklava is excellent too.

1st time here and have tried all the other donair shops in New Westminster. Very clean and polite. Got the chicken platter and it was portioned properly. When he added the sauce he did it with care, not just dumping a bunch of sauce from a spoon in a glob. Chicken was good too, not dried out from being on the skewer too long. Eco friendly microwavable containers that lock shut with a button not a stupid tab that just pops open. Defintly the best donair shop in town as far as I am concerned and will definitly go back. One other note, a customer asked for the bathroom key when he was making our food and he didn't grab it and hand it to them...he paused pointed and didn't touch it...which is a good sign that everyone is conscience of cleanliness. Just go there it's great.
