A&W Restaurant - New Westminster

When we want good tasting burgers without having to go to a pub, this is our go to. Service is friendly and reasonably fast. For the price, I much prefer A

I've been to this location before and it has some drawbacks like it seems to amplify sound and is often cold but on my most recent visit the person in charge left a real positive impression. I don't know if he was the Manager or a Supervisor or what but he was very engaged with both customers and staff. He was personable and encouraging and while due to the acoustics of the place his voice carried everything he said was so energetic and enthusiastic it was nice. He asked his staff to do things in a supportive way and pointed out little mistakes with tact that preserved their dignity. Everyone seemed glad to be there.

Took 10 minutes to receive my orderThen everyone else before me got their orders except me.The cook/server, not looking too hygienic, asked what I was waiting for.Told her and all she said was "THAT'S WHERE YOU ARE"I was all along standing in front of the counter to the side. She hastily made my order and handed it to me.No apology, no smile and definitely NOT A THANK YOUTotally rude and lacking in customer service and look at the messy kitchen
