Wimpy's Diner - New Tecumseth

Great food, nice atmosphere, Pictures of Marilyn, Elivs, Ricky, Dean Martin all on the walls. So Vintage setting, 50's setting, red booths, mostly. Great service and great food.On a brunch date with my husband. Eating Keito, so carbs are limited. Had a lovely4 over easy eggs, bacon and sausages well done, chef salad, was lovely. Hubby had 3 eggs, hash browns, turkey bacon. rye toast. .. was great. Coffee filled 2-3 times. Marvelous breakfast place.

Food is well prepared. Servers are polite and quick. Prices are typical. Been there many times and never dissatisfied.

Over priced, poor quality food, and sub mediocre service. Sometimes I wonder how restaurants with this combination are able to stay in business. Maybe it's a breakfast place, it's hard to mess up breakfast.

We came for lunch and enjoyed our visit. We arrived shortly after 2pm on a Monday so the restaurant only had maybe 5~6 people in it. Service was very quick and friendly. We ordered a Cesar Salad and a Poutine and 2 pots of tea. Both arrived very promptly. I found the portions to be very generous even tho I thought that the fries for the poutine were undercooked. I did ask for a doggie~bag as I said the portion was generous and I work hard for my $$. The young lady who served us was very friendly and was tipped accordingly. I did feel that $7.00 was rather on the high side for poutine tho.

I would rather have a small tasty portion, than gigantic amounts of food. Service was not quick - we weren't sure at first if there were any servers. Food delivered was not as ordered, which is frustating, because you feel as if you are at fault.
