General Public House - New Smyrna Beach

Very cozy, quiet, and cute place with fantastic menu. Everything was beautifully prepared. Unfortunately, I had never had dry aged beef before and wasn't ready for the difference in flavor. That was not their fault by any means. It still was cooked to absolute perfection and I ate part of it and my dogs absolutely loved the rest of it! My husband's pork chop was the best one we've ever had anywhere EVER! The potatoes and grits are to die for and my husband hates grits but still enjoyed them! All around a good experience for our first visit (even though they were out of several things we asked for due to a delivery delay). We will definitely be back, but I'll get the chicken out pork next time now that I'm educated on dry aged beef.

Very good food and service. Victoria is very nice! Pork chop was cooked perfectly. Be careful of jalapeño creamed corn.. has a big bite to it. But if you like spicey you'll love it.

I ordered the Char Crusted Sirloin. My steak was a smidge more to the medium rather than the med-rare that I ordered, but it was very tender and the mushroom demi glace made it scrumptious! I asked for extra asparagus in place of the potatoes. A great meal. My friend ordered the same, but with the potatoes. Unfortunately, she had to reorder her over cooked steak, to no avail. Lucky me, huh.

We enjoyed are dining experience; excellent food customer service from serving staff. We look forward to our next visit.

Although, Evan our waiter did a phenomenal job, the kitchen was extremely slow in getting orders out. There was only 20 people in the restaurant and grant it, we were a larger group, but the food coming out was extremely slow. Their chicken and waffles and shrimp snd grits are my favorite. No matter the wait, the food is worth it.
