Roches - New ross

Our dinner here was such a disappointment. My sister's fish and mash was cold and tasteless. My vegan burger wasn't much better and the side of parmesan garlic chips looked great but they were cold too. When I asked for a fresh plate of them they came back a little warmer. I couldn't eat them. The young staff were pleasant and were doing the best they could. I've read other reviewers' great experiences here and I don't understand it. Maybe we just got them on a bad night but I won't be going back to test that theory.

This charming restaurant deserves five stars. The food was excellent and the staff, especially Aaron, were superbly friendly. The menu offers a great variety, with delicious fresh fish. The bill was higher than expected, but it was worth it. I will definitely be returning again.

What a gem of a find this place is ! We haven’t been to this part of Wexford before and the whole area is just a beautiful place to switch off and enjoy some peaceful time away with the family! It is such a bonus when you randomly wander into a pub like Roche’s for lunch and get food of such high quality! The medallions of monkfish and the sea bass are insanely good! Plenty for the kids here also with chicken wings (would probably recommend getting the sauce on the side as while very tasty, they are definitely on the hot side ! and pepperoni pizza ! Steak sandwich is great also! Will definitely be back here as would like to have dinner here also. If they have some traditional music and a good pint of Guinness, I might find it hard to leave the premises!!

Very rude front of house manager, was not interested in our request to sit and have a drink, no business manner. Wouldn’t return or recommend.
