I love coming to visit and volunteer at the farm. I sponsor 2 animals every month; Tore, a black Swiss duck, and ElGuapo, a heritage turkey. Wendy is a gem, and she cares for all these animals. I always look forward to my next session of animal therapy. View all feedback.
I had a wonderful time volunteering at Red Oak Sanctuary. Wendy is incredibly caring and has a big heart for the residents. Each animal receives specialized care tailored to their species and individual needs. The residents have both indoor and outdoor spaces to ensure they have the right environment and shelter. Additionally, Red Oak hosts a fun annual open barn event that allows visitors to learn about veganism and meet some amazing animals. I also sponsor Vincent the cow on Patreon - I highly recommend checking them out and possibly sponsoring a resident yourself! This review was updated on February 21st, 2024.
This vegan sanctuary is a stunning establishment that provides exceptional care for its residents. Despite living in Columbus, we find it worth the two-hour drive to volunteer here. The residents receive personalized medical attention and each have their own comfortable accommodations. It is clear that everyone is well-loved at this sanctuary.
