Monica's Eatery

Monica's has a fresh and stylish atmosphere that I really appreciated. The staff is incredibly friendly and very helpful. I ordered kedgeree for breakfast, which may not be the typical choice for the first meal of the day, but it was absolutely delicious. The coriander yogurt was delightful as well. I returned for breakfast again, and it was just as tasty!

The food was so delicious that we returned twice during our brief stay in NP. The healthy breakfast option, porridge served with coconut cream, was absolutely heavenly. The decor is stunning and perfect for Instagram. We honestly believe it's the best cafe in NP by far. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the locally sourced coffee was excellent.

Since they offer table service, it would have been nice to have someone check on us after the meal. I would have liked another drink, and it seemed like a missed opportunity for another sale. Once our meals were served, we didn’t receive much attention from the staff. Overall, it’s a refreshing change from the typical restaurants that serve generic food. With just a few small improvements, this place has great potential. I would definitely consider coming back.

Very friendly service from their waitstaff Sandro he definitely made our visit memorable. He was relatable and took interest in our table and our grandmother on her birthday.<br/ <br/ The food too was nice across the table. Only comment is they could look into some vegetarian options.

I came here with my mates for breakfast. It was one of the best cafes I've ever been in NZ. My chia seed pudding was so smooth and delicious. The coffees are beautiful and awakens your lazy morning soul. Coming from Auckland, I really wish there was a Monica's Eatery here too. Thanks for the warm start of our travel.
