Schatzi's Pub And Bier Garden Of New Paltz

The rub was excellent. It took a while for our food to arrive, even though we were the only table seated at the time. The dishes were definitely made fresh, not from frozen ingredients with an institutionalized taste. The wings were crispy and well seasoned.

I recently dined at Shatzis and was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality of food and service. After coming from the overpriced and overrated food scene of the NY/NJ subway area, Shatzis was a refreshing change. The sausages were cooked perfectly, the rolls were fresh and not doughy, the chocolate babka was delicious, and the beer selection was impressive. The service was attentive and the playlist added to the overall ambiance of the restaurant. I highly recommend dining at Shatzis for a satisfying and enjoyable experience.

The service at this restaurant is very slow. The food is good and the staff is friendly, but they could significantly increase their revenue if they improved the speed of serving food.

I’m assuming we just got bad dishes from all the great reviews posted on Google Yelp but unfortunately, ours was very bad. I ordered the black bean burger which was completely mushy, when I say “mushy” I mean MUSHY. It had the consistency of pudding. My partner ordered the tacos the bratwurst which seems easy not to mess up. The bratwurst had a bone the size of a large tooth. Tacos were okay but subpar for the price. Overall, pretty bad experience being that this was the first time we’ve tried it. Would’ve ordered differently.

I took my husband and our friends here for dinner last night to celebrate my husband's birthday. The pub was busy and they were short staffed with only 2 cooks in the kitchen, but they still managed to provide excellent service and were very accommodating to our needs/wants.
