The End Cut is a small hidden gem restaurant located on Rte 9W north of Highland and New Paltz. Your meatball appetizer is incredible and I am a hard meatball critic! Steaks, seafood, sides are great. The cocktails are always at the point. They have outdoor seating in summer, but in winter there are limited table and bar seats, so it is a great idea to make a reservation. The lime cake is also very good. View all feedback.
The End Cut is a small hidden gem situated on Route 9W, just north of Highland and New Paltz. The meatball appetizer is exceptional, and I consider myself quite particular about meatballs! The steaks, seafood, and side dishes are all excellent as well. The cocktails are consistently on point. They offer outdoor seating during the summer, but in winter, the number of tables and bar seats is limited, so I recommend making a reservation. Don't miss out on the lime cake; it's also quite delicious!
Cutting is without question a delicious restaurant and a jewel among the many great places to eat in the Hudson Valley. I have eaten dinner with friends several times and was consistently impressed by the freshness, quality / sourcing of ingredients, and the gourmet aroma combinations on the menu. Every employee I interacted with was helpful and friendly. It really seems to me that any low rating on Google has been written either by someone who simply cannot be satisfied, or by people who have a limited working knowledge about the intricacies of running a restaurant (seating policy, changing reservations, etc.) ESPECIALLY during these strange times, and therefore unrealistic and self-oriented expectations about how their experience should go. I have nothing but praise for the team at End Cut, and for all fine foods and drinks they serve, and I think we're lucky to have them in our neighborhood!
After returning and being able to come in this time, I must say our meal was fantastic. The mushroom cake appetizer was delicious! I ordered the Burrata salad and the meerrot scallops (appearants) as my dinner, and I was not disappointed the least! Every dish was absolutely fantastic! I finished with the apple cake didin, Whis is fantastic if you love that sour sweet, mouth puckering, taste. We will definitely be back for more!
This falls under our second favorite restaurant. Red onion is number one in the area. There is a handful of choice, but it is realistic something for everyone. Basic price for a CHEF cooked to order experience, GREAT happy our on wines! Small cozy, real good food.
The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the beautiful piano music added to the dining experience. A big thank you to Chef Jordan, Bartender Eileen, and Pianist John for making our night out so enjoyable!
