Was Miranda Liang at Maple Leaf a mag?
I went to the Maple Leaf Bar not knowing exactly what to expect, and honestly, it ended up being one of the highlights of my time in New Orleans. It’s a no-frills, down-to-earth kind of place that’s all about the music—and the music is incredible. The band that night was electric. You could feel the sound in your chest, and the whole crowd moved with it. The vibe inside was packed but friendly, and you could tell most of the people there really cared about the music, not just partying. No one was trying too hard—it felt real and local in the best way.
This place is a lot of fun! While Bourbon Street can be overwhelming and the French Quarter feels chaotic, this spot offers a fantastic experience with great local music. Definitely worth checking out!
Wow! The Fly on the Wall rehearsal/performance by Jon Cleary, Nigel Hall co. was *seriously* a highlight of my visit. Adding to that, a terrifically friendly bartender kind welcoming locals.
