Woodies Freehouse - New Malden

Woodies is a traditional sports pub with outdoor seating and an indoor dining area. We enjoy visiting because the food is tasty and the staff are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is welcoming and we always have a great experience. In my opinion, the pie is the standout dish on the menu. During our visit on a summer Saturday, there was a BBQ option available which was a hit with our group. The food was cooked to order and everyone enjoyed it. The dessert menu is also delicious so be sure to save room. There is ample parking available, the prices are reasonable, and on a summer evening, you can enjoy the view of the cricket field while dining outside. I highly recommend Woodies.

This restaurant is fantastic for dining at any time. The Steak and Ale pie is absolutely amazing!

Went for dinner and watch the euro finals. Food tasted very good (pleasant surprise) and the staff were super friendly despite the busy service.

This restaurant was the perfect choice for my birthday meal with friends and family. The prices were reasonable, they had a great selection of ales, and the service was very friendly. I gave the food a 4 out of 5 rating because I ordered a steak ale pie but was served a chicken and vegetable pie without any explanation. Maybe it should have been slightly cheaper considering the mix-up? Nonetheless, thank you for helping make my birthday special!

Seated quickly and our drinks order taken and offered menus, as we received our drinks as we had time to look at menu we where already so our order! Our food was delivered well presented, hot, again the lady checked if everything we require before leaving us to enjoy the meal and our conversation, only popping by to check we where all happy with our food! Our plates where cleared a few minutes after the last person had finished eating and we was offered the desert and coffee menu. After about ten minutes they took the extra's people wanted and those also turned up in a timely manor! After all the food and drinks had been enjoyed and dishes etc cleared away they asked if we wanted anything else! we had asked if we could have our bills (we had asked for the bill to be divided at the begin it was and all food and drinks correctly itemised to each bill ! The service was perfect and both young ladies who severed us very friendly. I would recommend eating at woodies in the restaurant area as there nothing to complain about, the only thing I like to see, that they have offered in past are some more daily specials, as the beef sir-fry I had back a few weeks ago was the best meal I had in a long time and was hoping if not on menu it would be a special again.
