We had an early dinner 5 pm. Were seated immediately to a roomy table with excellent view of their gardens and fire pit. Connor was our server and he did an excellent job getting us settled in with a beverage and reviewed the Specials and Full menu. We started with the Potstickers, delicious and presented beautifully. We followed that with a Fiddlehead Salad, Sirloin and Swordfish. All were amazing and prepared perfe... View all feedback.
What bill argo doesn't like about Millstone:
3 appetizers 2 entrees were great, but one entree was served cold when I brought this to the servers attention she returned with a very hot but badly overdone entree, which I declined to accept after taking a single bite.
The food was excellent, the server was very nice and helpful. We were 3 friends catching up that hadn't seen each other in a very long time and we were allowed to sit and chat without feeling like we were holding up a table. We each traveled two hours to meet in a convenient location and it worked out wonderfully. Thank you
Seventy Four Main has been our go to restaurant for many years. This last visit was not disappointing but we thought a comment should be made regarding the broccoli served on our entrée. We ordered the flay minion. The stems on our broccoli were so hard they could not be cut with a steak knife. Would suggest just serving the tops.
We arrived early and told the hostess so we were going to camp out at the bar u til our reservation time. We ordered cocktails and appetizers. The food was great and the bartender was a real pro and on his game. Prompt, a great mixologist with good pours and a welcoming disposition. We departed for the table on time and we were greeted by a less than enthusiastic wait staff, sadly. We quickly ordered and split a salad, entree and dessert. She acted very disappointed. Food was top drawer and timely. We just would have preferred a little less disappointment at our $100 order. We rang up almost the same tip at the bar with the two appetizers. The bartender got a larger tip.
I took my husband to brunch for Father's Day. He loved the dish he got, some flatbread with eggs, cheese and breakfast meats. I got the Bennie which was mediocre and overpriced. The Hollandaise was bland, no lemon or pepper flavors, tasted like nothing. The potatoes were hard and dry, again, no flavor. We won't there again.
My wife and shared an appetizer; Parmesan Truffle Fries with Roasted Garlic Aioli. The best we've ever had! With few vegetarian options, she ordered the Crispy Masala Cauliflower appetizer as her main course and loved it. I ordered the Grilled 7oz Filet Mignon (medium rare and cooked perfectly) with Roasted Golden Potatoes, Roasted Asparagus, Caramelized Onions and paid $3 extra for the Red Wine Reduction. Everything was delicious! Our server was friendly and efficient.
