Kamp Dog - New London

Overall good place to grab a hot dog. Staff are very friendly. Kamp dogs is on a corner so you could pass by it just how the building is designed.The place was nice however they should take the books out of the windows.

I've been there on three separate occasions. The first time I had their mini burgers, just to get a sample of their burgers. On my second and third visits, I had the Firehouse Burger. The third visit, I had them put Jalapeño peppers on it. The burger is basically a cheese burger with chilli and raw onions on top. I bought it twice in a row, so it's safe to assume that I really enjoyed it. Oh, be warned, it's a messy burger, lol. If you like mom and pop diners/burger joints, and you're in New London, stop by.

We went for the gigantic pancake we saw on Phantom Gourmet. It was impressive in size, ok in taste texture. But I have to be honest it was not worth the carbs calories.. Everything was cooked right there on the big grill top. And was good fresh. It's worth the experience to see the pancake. But once is all I personally will do..

I was looking for a fast place to grab a quick bite. Walked in and was greeted quickly. Super nice staff. They explained the menu easily to me, I ordered, I ate. Good hot dogs!

The food is top notch just make sure you go up to the counter to order its a new england weinery not a restaurant. The pancake yes singular is bigger than a lot of places large pizzas. The breakfast burritos are massive (good luck finishing) and same with the omelets. I highly recommend having The Kamp Dog along with a chili frito or, my personal choice, 'dyno ' frito. If you decide to go and on the way ask if there is a way to consume a weeks worth of calories on 1 sandwich just ask Ken. When he makes a special it truly is a special i had an excellent French onion soup last time. Every roll is buttered and toasted. 1 of a kind hot dogs made custom in CT to his specifications. I can go on all day but i will end with there 's a reason i drive 40 minutes 1 way once a month.
