The food at this restaurant is delicious. They offer fried green tomatoes and deviled eggs, along with tasty salads and large portions. The waitress was accommodating and even changed the TV to the VCU basketball game for us. There are smaller TVs available for sports fans to enjoy as well.
Food is great every time and the service is exceptional. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It's one of my favorite places to eat.
After leaving Great Wolf Lodge in Maryland, we stumbled upon the hidden gem of Trojan Grill on our way back. The spacious and inviting atmosphere greeted us as we entered, with fast service and no long wait times. The food was exceptional. The fried pickles we ordered were crispy and delicious, the children's chicken tenders were perfectly seasoned and fried, and the burgers were cooked to perfection with homemade pickles and the restaurant's special sauce. We were so impressed that we are considering making another trip just to visit Trojan Grill again. We highly recommend this restaurant and wish we could have it closer to us in Maryland.
The interior of the restaurant was stunning and spacious. The server, a delightful girl, was friendly and provided excellent service. The French fries she served were delicious and I absolutely enjoyed them.
Had lunch here today—Trojan is a lifesaver for the hungry in New Kent County, ESPECIALLY at lunchtime! A short dogleg from the New Kent County Courthouse, it is a recent and very welcome arrival, it has a wide variety of sandwiches and dinners, all prepared in-house and fresh to order. The crabcake sandwich I ordered had NO filler in the crabcake, and came with lettuce and tomato on a fresh brioche bun. (It comes with remoulade, which I declined, and fresh hand-cut french fries, which were just too good to decline AND I ate every one of them. Trojan is spotlessly clean, and the very wonderful waitperson Stella gave very attentive service throughout the half-hour dining experience. The owners also own a restaurant in James City County that is named The Blue Heron, which I suspect I will also be visiting before long!
