Great place, love the Whiskey Lounge so beautiful space enjoy a drink. Lots of room to sit and the atmosphere is gorgeous! Food was very good! Bartenders in main bar seem unhappy, wondering if they are over worked, or if they need a better system? View all feedback.
What freddy doesn't like about Royal T's at The Mansion:
Food was nicely prepared. Attentive service. Can get loud due to conversations from other table plus the musician playing in the background. Overall, good place for brunch View all feedback.
The first time here and we were very impressed. The food was especially the halibut. Tables on the veranda are nice to watch for people, but indoor ambiance was also beautiful. Will definitely come back!
Nice neighborhood restaurant. Industrial chic furnishings in historic building. Every dish we've ordered has been good, especially short rib poutine. On our most recent visit, I ordered the mushroom carbonara. It was a very good pasta dish, but not carbonara. There was no egg, cream or pancetta in evidence. Rather, it was in a nicely flavored olive oil based sauce.
Unfortunately, I was not pleased with this restaurant. I had asked the waitress if the pancakes would be enough for my kids to split. She said yes you get 2 or 3. When the pancakes arrived, there was 1. I ordered a $21 burger which I asked to be cooked medium. It arrived burnt. I didn't even finish it. The waitress was nowhere to be found. I had asked for a beverage and had to find the hostess after being unable to locate the waitress. The live music was nice. But the food was not tasty at all and was rather expensive. If I'm going to pay $85 for brunch, I would like to enjoy my meal. The restaurant is very cute but I would not go back.
Nicely done Saturday brunch spot. Mansion is a terrific addition to New Hope dining.
Meal started off by hostess letting us know that the bar was closed due to a dispute over the license with the property owner, but there is a wine store a couple of blocks down and they won 't charge us for uncorking. How nice of them. When we got back they were moving us from the table we were seated to a smaller one. We requested to stay at the table we had which they accommodated. The server came over and explained that she had messed up a couple of bottles that day already and asked if I minded uncorking the bottle. We did. After 3 tries she finally brought a bucket that had ice in it. The tuna appetizer was the high point, it was good and presented well. Meal came, a burger and a steak. The steak was cold and was sent back. It was returned to the table by Joe who we later found out was the owner. He then started shouting that he had just temped it in the kitchen and it was right so it should be eaten. We were stunned. Couldn 't believe that he was yelling at us for daring to say the steak was cold. Pointing out that it may have been cooked to medium but it was brought to the table cold, so cold that the butter dollop had yet to melt. He then left the table. The server came over to apologize for the error. When we asked what error she stated the food being prepared wrong. I have never left a negative review before having worked in restaurants and knowing how difficult it can be. But they were not busy and this was ridiculous. The table next to us was equally stunned. I doubt that they will be in business long
