We ordered sweet and sour pork and shrimp fried rice. These dishes reminded me of my childhood. Both were cooked perfectly. The service was excellent; we arrived just as they were closing but didn't feel rushed at all. The prices were very reasonable. View all feedback.
What Charley Herman doesn't like about Rainbow:
Not much choice in town. Sunday night was 'smorgasbord' night, a strange one for an oriental restaurant, but the food was okay. Neither the exterior nor the interior are anything more than utilitarian, but the dishes and utensils appeared clean. Grab-it-yourself drinks from a cooler were a new one for us in a sit-down restaurant. Not open for breakfast. View all feedback.

The Hazeltons, both new and old, offer a fantastic outdoor experience with great river fishing, hiking, and beautiful scenery. However, dining options are limited in the area. After a day of exploration, we decided to try the Rainbow Restaurant, as it seemed popular. To be frank, the food was disappointing. The majority of dishes were fried, heavily battered, and lacked flavor. The high salt content was also a concern. The all-you-can-eat buffet did not offer much variety, with jello and canned whipped cream as dessert options. There is definitely room for improvement at this establishment. I would suggest bringing your own food if other restaurants are not available.
We went for lunch and initially had low expectations based on the decoration, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. My partner enjoyed the cheeseburger and fries, saying they were satisfying. I ordered the chicken salad, but unfortunately, it was not good. It consisted of mostly iceberg lettuce, a few slices of carrot, flavorless tomatoes, a bland chicken breast, and a hard-boiled egg. The ranch dressing came in four individual packages, as if it were meant for a burger.

The hazeltons (new and old) are a great antidote to explore large river fishing, hiking and landscape for outdoor activities. not many restaurant options to choose after a long day. we gave the rainbow restaurant a chance because it was quite busy. I have to be honest, eating was terrible. mostly fried, strongly broken and tasteless meat. extremely salty. all that they eat buffet was not better with jello and a dose whipped cream for their dessert option. they can definitely be better than that! I would recommend you to pack food if other restaurants will not be open.
