Richards - New Haven
Richards
Description
Richard’s in New Haven delivers classic American diner comforts: clean, small‑town charm, generous portions and reliably tasty breakfast and lunch favorites (apple dumplings and broasted chicken praised). Regulars applaud friendly, neighborly staff, though service can be uneven—especially for carryout—with slow phone pickup, missing sides, and occasional tough entrees. Ideal for families, seniors and locals seeking hearty, affordable meals; dine in for the atmosphere, but expect variable takeout and intermittent lapses in attentiveness during busy times.

Server cleaned table, the first on the right, however missed spots even after I pointed them out.
Short on help busy waited Along time which understandable but we all were sick after 30 min of eating. We wanted dessert good thing we didn't get the opportunity to ask.
Great food, fast service and friendly staff. I love breakfast all day, and what a pleasure to get raisin toast! The geese outside the window were very entertaining and there were 5 goslings. Local music from the radio and local conversations about cattle, home improvements, family, babies and the geese felt like what life is really all about. Well worth the stop!
Very good food and reasonable prices. Waitresses very polite. Great for senior citizens. I call it my restaurant for home cooked food. Fried chicken is the best.
