We lunched here and found the light lunch we had of a high standard. I had the calamari and my better half, the crayfish salad. The Doombar bitter was well kept. Nice log fire. View all feedback.
What Elizabeth J doesn't like about The Yachtsman's Garden:
Very poor service today stopped for lunch, got passed from bar to restaurant back to bar as no one knew what was going on and what food you could order from what area. We left without eating due to the poor service. The manager responded very poorly and lost four customers due to unhelpful attitude. Your offer on the day should match what you say you do on your website and please train your staff so they know what is... View all feedback.
Unhelpful Manager. Sailed to Bucklers Hard and planned to eat in Yachtsman's Bar that said on the web site could not be booked. Turned up and it was all booked out with people from the restaurant as there was an event there. The staff and the manager were most unhelpful and didn't know what was on the web site. Refused to feed us even though there were free tables. So we had to walk 2.5 miles to the Montague Arms very welcoming ! and 2.5 miles back in the dark through woods. Avoid unless sure
9 times out of 10 there will be some reason why you can’t get a beer. Such a shame as it’s a perfect location
Today we walk the beaulieu to bucklers hard walk with our dog stopped at the yachtsman for a couple of drinks staff were all helpful we all had a burger from the grill food was good, bit pricey but this isn’t a Wetherspoons!!! great views.. we will definitely be back in the summer to sit it the lovely gardens.
Best avoided. Sadly very poor in every way. Great shame as has a monopoly on this beautiful location.
The prices here are laughable, and the beer wasn’t great. And should you wish to have a coffee instead of a beer, I’ll save you the trouble. It’s a machine that they push a button on, and for the privilege you’ll pay more than you would at an actual coffee shop. Don’t even look at the food menu. Just don’t. Portions you couldn’t feed a mouse with, costing the earth. It’s a joke, praying on tourists with more money than sense.
