Contribute FeedbackDining at the acclaimed restaurant has become a mixed experience for many guests. While some praise the food quality and exceptional service, others report significant shortcomings, particularly during staffing shortages. Patrons express disappointment over unremarkable dishes at high prices, with several noting an overwhelming saltiness in the tasting menu. Additionally, service inefficiencies mar the overall experience, affecting special occasions like anniversaries or birthdays. Despite these issues, many highlight the attentive and friendly staff, suggesting that while the kitchen may need improvement, the service lifeline helps salvage the dining experience for some. Overall, it’s a restaurant with potential, yet inconsistent execution.
I tried to get drinks at the bar before dinner and the bartender was quite abrupt, as it was obviously overwhelmed because of personal shortage. we made the four cursor menu. I had the vegetarian dishes. the food tasted nice, but the portions were...tiny! could have done with a little more eating.
Large service and menu choice, very attentive staff and high quality food highly recommended and enjoyed by us all
The price was about what they expect to pay for a three cure meal in each uplifted pub, but eating and the atmosphere was fine eating. the waiting staff was very professional and timely. we didn't have to wait long for something. to begin, I have the butternut quash soup that was divine. I only wish the waiter had either left the soot court there or spent a second more with leaving all these good. the hake I had for the first was served with comminuted new kartoffels, seasonal greens and muddles in a seetang beurre blanc sauce. my man had smoke chalk bachforelle to start and roasted hampshire pork with the most delicious crack. they provided home foam water and free bread and butter during our meal. we have finished dessert with a carmelized pear and a dark chocolate creamux. extras were quite a pricy espresso martini at but it was very nice and came garnished and a cappuccino. if there were any parking possibilities. it was completely packed on the top, but we managed to press in front. highly recommended and worthy of a Michelin star.
Had a meal here to my birthday in september eating was excellent, and the service was even better! our waiter was so friendly and welcoming very well informed about eating and the wine. would definitely go back!
My friend and I were staying at their sister hotel Carey’s and came over for dinner. I was really impressed with the food and thought that the four course menu was good value. A particular call out for the great staff. We had a great...guy serving us, I didn’t get his name but he was from Hungary and great fun to talk to as well as a very professional service as well as a young guy who brought our courses out and he spoke with such enthusiasm about each of the courses.
