Pleasant pub and nice food but our visit was completely spoiled by the number of dogs. It is only a small, rather narrow pub but there were 11 dogs in it when we were there and then suddenly a party of five people came in, each with a dog and a muddy one at that having been walking in the forest and positioned themselves all round the bar. We are dog lovers but surely it isn't hygienic to have so many of them in such a small space. After a while a lady got up and began feeding them with the leftovers from her plate. This is not nice when you are trying to enjoy your meal. We will not be visiting again.

This restaurant is absolutely wonderful. The food is excellent and the service from Lewis was outstanding. We always had a great time whenever we visited. My husband, sister-in-law, and I had a lot of laughs. Thank you once again. P.S. I accidentally walked into the men's restroom - my mistake! Best regards, Sharon and Tony Mercer. We hope to visit again in the future.

Lovely Country Pub, nice welcome, typical country pub which is very rare these days. We had a ploughman’s to share and loaded chips. The chips were a meal in themselves. The ploughman’s was very nice although not enough bread and cheese. They could have given less ham which was very chewy) and more cheese. We spoke to another couple and they loved their meal. I would thoroughly recommend this pub.

Lovely pub in aovely spot. Quire an extensive menu with specials board. The steak and ale pie was superb with a tasty crispy topped pastry served with a little pan of gravy. Lovely fresh veg and tasty mustard mash. The cod with chorizo with saute potatoes was excellent. The apple crumble was great and was served with custard instead of cream upon request. The Eton mess was all.it should be! A lovely meal in aovely pub with friendly staff and efficient service. Thank you

I'm so glad that we visited The Lamb Inn during a recent trip to the New Forest. We had a dog with us (dog friendly pub! , and also my mum who uses a mobility walker. There's three steps into the building, with a sturdy handrail, and enough room inside to maneuver ok. The food was really lovely. And the staff could not have been more attentive, despite it being a busy night. I mentioned an allergy that I have and we went through the detail of a few items to make sure I'd be ok. I'm grateful for their help.
