Lamb Inn - New Forest
Lamb Inn
Description
The Lamb Inn is a lovely country pub with a warm welcome and a traditional vibe. The food, although delicious, had minor issues such as chewy ham in the ploughman’s and tough chicken in the roast. Despite this, the extensive menu and friendly staff made for a pleasurable dining experience. The pub is dog-friendly and accessible, with plenty of room to move around. The beautiful setting in the New Forest adds to the charm, making it a hidden gem worth revisiting. Overall, The Lamb Inn offers a delightful dining experience with its delicious food, friendly staff, and cozy atmosphere.

Lovely pub in aovely spot. Quire an extensive menu with specials board. The steak and ale pie was superb with a tasty crispy topped pastry served with a little pan of gravy. Lovely fresh veg and tasty mustard mash. The cod with chorizo with saute potatoes was excellent. The apple crumble was great and was served with custard instead of cream upon request. The Eton mess was all.it should be! A lovely meal in aovely pub with friendly staff and efficient service. Thank you
I'm so glad that we visited The Lamb Inn during a recent trip to the New Forest. We had a dog with us (dog friendly pub! , and also my mum who uses a mobility walker. There's three steps into the building, with a sturdy handrail, and enough room inside to maneuver ok. The food was really lovely. And the staff could not have been more attentive, despite it being a busy night. I mentioned an allergy that I have and we went through the detail of a few items to make sure I'd be ok. I'm grateful for their help.
As a family we have visited this lovely pub many times and chose it again to celebrate the recent passing of our mum, as she lived it here. The food is absolutely delicious and I particularly enjoyed my homemade lasagne. They staff are friendly, attentive and helpful, making our visit so pleasurable. The pub is in a beautiful setting and always lovely to see the New Forest ponies roaming around, true country life. As a family we will continue to visit The Lamb Inn and enjoy this hidden gem of the New Forest.
This restaurant is in a fantastic location for exploring the New Forest, near the Rufus Stone and overlooking an open green with New Forest ponies grazing. We decided to have Sunday lunch and chose the light option of roast meat in ciabatta bread. The portion size was perfect and the meal was very delicious, although it could have been even better with a side of salad. This lovely pub is definitely worth a return visit.
