Finally found a cafe that is not overpriced but still nailed everything. They have fantastic food and drink. I tried the special, roast pork belly with fried eggs, wilted greens and mojo sauce' and detox smoothie. Everything tasted amazing and seasoned to perfection, and the portion size was really good. For my smoothie, it had a lot of veges, so I felt a bit adventurous ordering it, but it was so refreshing, and eve... View all feedback.
What Filomena Watsica doesn't like about The Ponycat:
Mixed views on Ponycat. We were interested in trying for the first time as we had received mixed comments from others who had gone there. Staff I am sure consider themselves very efficient rushing here and rushing there but they seem to forget that there are customers who would appreciate a smile and acknowledgement. Coffee OK food OK but neither to rave about. View all feedback.
Tucked off Brunswick Street in New Farm, PonyCat is a lovely welcoming cafe that serves good food and coffee. With funky murals and cute découpage tables, this is an ideal spot to catch up with friends. Ordered the smoked salmon on rye the toast was just right (not too hard or soft). The only setback would be the pickled cucumber; I personally feel that they were too sour to my liking. Enjoyed my cup of latte, highly recommend the coffee here. Overall, my friend and I had a pleasant brunch here and the staff was very friendly.
Wonderful and filling brunch. Avocado, grilled halloumi, poached egg, tomato, spinach, and two slices of bread with a balsamic drizzle. Very fast service. Small place in a cool neighborhood.Insta: @voraciousventures
Brisbane’s inner-city suburb of New Farm is definitely spoilt for choice in terms of unique cafes. On the outside, Ponycat has an unassuming facade and you probably wouldn’t think twice about it if you were walking past. However, it’s a different story once you step inside… it’s a cute and quirky little space perfect for Sunday brunch.
One of the prettiest and most delicious chia puddings I've had! The colours are simply exquisite on the plate and the roasted macadamia nuts give the dish that extra crunch and toasty goodness. Their coffee is also smooth and yum (mmm campos beans, my favourite).
We were pleasantly surprised when we came here for breakfast. The coffee was spot on and both our meals were yummy and well priced.
