Was Chris Rastyk at Carpe Diem a mag?
I've visited this restaurant for both breakfast and lunch, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience on both occasions. The staff is incredibly friendly, service is quick, and the food is excellent. The prices are reasonable, and while the portion sizes aren't enormous, they were just right for lunch (I haven't tried dinner there yet). What Kevin Cole dislikes about Carpe Diem:
We ate at Carpe Diem for the first time today, Mother’s Day, and were not impressed. The staff was very friendly but overwhelmed about how busy they were, but only half the restaurant was full. They struggled to provide good service. The food was priced like a high-mid range restaurant, but we felt the quality was only a baby step above a standard diner. Go! Nice place to share a meal. Family owned and operated. Great remodeling creates a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy a great meal with your person. Get a bottle of your favorite wine and enjoy the background music, or you can choose to dine in the beautiful closed outdoor seating area, complete with well. Armed employees and faster service. I will go there many more times to explore the fine menu. Our first ducks were the lobster ravioli and eggs Benedict, who were fabulous. I have included a few photos to make your decision process more informed. Parking on the street is available, even a short walk would not waste time to enjoy this place.

What a hidden jewel of a restaurant in new cumberland. Everything was delicious, including homemade bread. Very clean and friendly environment. In any case will be back soon!

Clean, charming atmosphere. Eating presentation was nice and our meals tasted great. We will definitely return to this locally owned restaurant. The owner was friendly and rightly proud of his fine furnishings.

They allow our breakfast prayer group on Saturday mornings at 10. We feel welcome, not like a different restaurant that made us feel bothersome. Their hospitality, service and prices are wonderful.
