What Karen Harvey doesn't like about Cedars:
11/20/2019...ordered a large lamb sandwich for takeout...it was not very good...lamb was way overcooked and so tough you could hardly chew it..Will not be going back.

Cedars atmosphere is plain but clean in the dining area but there’s plenty of room at the tables, it’s nice and comfortable. And, while the dining room is a three, the bar is a five. So, a four for atmosphere. The food and service are always great. Can recommend the Lamb Dish and the Cedars Combo both are great. The Lamb Dish has pepper rings in the meal, the mild ones that you usually get in a cup with dinner. Also, a lot of really good melty cheese. Mine was the Cedars Combo. I like cheese, but I like my lamb all lamb, Linda loved her lamb dish with all that cheese. I tasted it, and it was excellent. The combo also has chicken. The chicken was also very good, but really the lamb is the star of this show. And I’ve never had any issues with the lamb here. Wife gets medium, always just pink. I get med rare, and it’s always med rare. The cooks here always mail it. These dinners come with a little cup of garlic sauce. I always use it. The sauce is not garlicky at all. I mean it’s not REALLY garlicky. The bread is a wedge of Syrian loaf.I eat here as often as I eat at Edwards, except Cedars is where I go between the two when I want lamb. Smaller menu, but something for everyone. Oh, and a great selection of draft beer. Everything from PBR to micro brews, and plenty of them. I have never had a bum meal here. Or one that didn’t come out hot.
It's my cousin's place and it's excellent the lamb is excellent everything there is very good Angelo Medure Jr. Was there yesterday with a young lady which will probably be the last time with her LOL.
Arrived just before 5:30pm this evening and it took 20 minutes to even get greeted by the waitress. There were about 5 tables in the dining room so busy, but nothing crazy. Got our beverages then ordered. As time passed the waitress spilled ranch dressing onto the dining room floor right next to our table and after just ignoring it for several minutes, I observed her just smush it into the carpet with her shoe. Didn’t wipe it up, spray it down or anything which was very disturbing. 75 minutes later our table finally received our food. No apologies for the wait or explanation whatsoever. It appeared waitress forgot to put our order in because other tables who arrived after us received their food. When the food finally arrived I got a steak salad which was ok and my daughter got wings which were not very good. Very saucy with little taste. Had to ask repeatedly for refills so service overall was very bad on this night. Based on poor service, lack of cleanliness inside, and average food we will not be returning to this establishment.
I ordered the Kibee and Grape leaves plate, my husband ordered the Lamb and rice. My food was cooked perfectly, and the portions were very filling. His lamb looked delicious and he said it was the most tender, juicy lamb he's ever had. We had Garlic fries and onion rings for appetizers. The garlic fries were heavily covered with garlic and I absolutely loved it, while my husband could have done with a bit less garlic. You can tell that they were hand-cut fries and they were delicious. Our beers were icy cold and the waitress was attentive and helpful. We went before the dinner rush on a Tuesday so it was quiet and peaceful. Don't be fooled by the Dive Bar Vibes or the neighborhood. Looks are quite deceptive and the food was amazing. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options, but you really have to look for things and ask for substitutions. Parking: The parking lot is full of potholes and it was not an enjoyable experience for our tiny car. The alley beside the parking lot is also full of potholes. Kid-friendliness: The area is very wide open and roomy so you can have plenty of space for the whole family. Wheelchair accessibility: The front entry looks like you are walking up to someone's home. There are steps and no room for a wheelchair. The back entrance has a wheelchair ramp, but it's not very wide and neither is the door to get inside.
