What a gem! Located in the heart of New Britain, this restaurant is housed in a beautifully renovated former department store. The coffee bar and dining options are top-notch. The restaurant has stunning decor and the food options are absolutely delicious. However, I had a less than pleasant experience with one of the owners/managers. I believe it may just be his personality, but I feel that ownership should come with a certain level of professionalism and etiquette. This is just my opinion based on my experience. Despite this, I know many people who speak highly of the ownership. The restaurant itself is always well-maintained and beautiful.
The food was good but the bartender needs more training
I recently attended a private family event in one of the two rooms available for rental at this restaurant. The venue as a whole was stunning! The cozy couch areas by the fireplace were perfect for enjoying a drink or sampling some of the delicious food offered by the two eateries. The decor had a welcoming industrial touch and the space flowed seamlessly together. I highly recommend this restaurant for its great ambiance and for preserving the architectural style of the downtown area. I will definitely return and recommend it to others. They offer vegetarian options and there is free street parking in the evening. During the daytime, meters are in use. The restaurant is kid-friendly with suitable food options for children, but adults must keep an eye on their kids to ensure a pleasant experience for all. The venue is wheelchair accessible.
I make an effort to visit this restaurant as frequently as I can to support its longevity. It's a wonderful addition to New Britain and my go-to spot for meeting up with friends for coffee or a drink, lounging on the couches and enjoying each other's company.
