First time here. Polish pizzas and sandwiches. I chose the contractor sandwich which had egg, cheese hash brown and kielbasa. It was toasted on a roll with ketchup. I would try the garlic butter sauce next time. I enjoyed this with a hot coffee and a cold pressed juice. The kielbasa was delicious and we found out it's locally sold in the Polish shops in town. What Nadia doesn't like about Taste Of Poland:
The food was really good . I do think they need a person for the dining area since they get so busy up front! The young lady who served me today had blonde hair with a nose ring , sorry I don’t get your name but she was really nice. Thanks ! View all feedback.
We came here for lunch after a visit to the New Britain Museum of Art. 2 pm-ish on a Saturday, our party of 3 had to wait for a little while (20 minutes? but once we were seated, it was a lovely and delicious afternoon. We loved everything! Pickle soup, pierogies, potato pancake, a stuffed pork loin and a sampler of Polish favorites. I am inspired to try to make some of this at home! There is a big Polish market right across the street if you want to try some at home. We really liked this place and would definitely go back. Nice, homey atmosphere and delicious food, what could be better! (and, reasonable prices!
This modest restaurant offers a solid lunch with no frills. It was a busy lunch time for a Tuesday with even more patrons coming in at 2 PM. We had perogeris. Several types were offered with the mushroom mix being very tasty. For some strange reason, your limited to four of each type. Why? The entire portion was eight large pieces, all very nice and covered in an additional yummy onion sauce. We had leftovers for later. Service is somewhat distant but orderly with no follow-up as to anything more? We have been here a number of times and the food offerings are very consistent and tasty. We will return again.
We went there because it was recommended and we were not disappointed. Service was excellent beer was good and the perogies were delicious. Felt like a family home cooking type place and all of us will come back. We drove about 50 mins to get there and it was well worth it. Happy customer Scott Stephanie Smith
I keep forgetting that New Britain has a big Polish community, but when my family and I was in the area over the weekend, we decided to try this placed based on good recommendations. The seating area can get a bit crowded because it's not that big, but it's also a testament to the genuineness of the food that there were so many people here from the local community. The staff were friendly and helped us with unfamiliar terms, and everything was freshly prepared. I love borsht, and while this restaurant's borsht wasn't as fancy as Russian borsht (it only had broth and meat dumplings), it was still good, albeit with a slightly more sour/vinegary taste that I'm accustomed to with borsht. The pierogi were good you can get them with a variety of fillings.
Rude and unprofessional customer service with attitude. We are very disappointed , won't be returning. I would prefer to spend my money with a pleasant service and good ,fresh food.
