It is the only real bakery in town. We have any number of patisserie's where you can get cakes or cookies but outside of H-E-B the only place you can get fresh baked bread. The baker is German and brought his craft over here with him. Buying bread and German treats is really pleasant here. View all feedback.
Not my fave. A lot of bakery items don't taste fresh lately and are pretty dry. Would rather go to another bakery with more options
I come almost once a week and the employees are always so nice and the food is amazing.
I've been here at least a dozen times, and I haven't written a review yet. I don't know why. So here we go. The pastries are fresh. The service comes with a smile. I feel like it's a little pricey, but you also get what you pay for. I will pay more for all butter pastries any day of the week. I have only tried their baked items. I have not tried anything from their lunch menu.
Been wanting to try this place because our neighbor said it was good and it has four and a half stars. As soon as we walked in, I wanted to grab a paper menu and the girl behind the counter said rudely, can you guys go around? And I said oh I just wanted to grab the menu, and she quickly and again, rudely said, we don 't serve breakfast! Oh well... I guess that means I can 't look at a paper menu that is put out there for people to take. All that was set out were pastries. The Pain Au Chocolat from Starbucks is much tastier and so are the Kolaches from Shipleys. It was quite a waste of a 25 minute drive, to and from our home. Giving it two stars because at least the gentleman that helped us was not rude and as a baker myself, I understand the difficulties of baking. 1) If your job entails customer service and you 're having a bad day, either leave it at the door or suck it up and fake it. 2) Don 't go there for breakfast because they don 't serve it. And if you do go in the morning, hopefully the rude service doesn 't ruin your morning.
Visited Uwe's for the first time. So impressed. Chicken salad sandwich was so yummy with pineapple, craisins and nuts. Big chunks of chicken and perfect amoint of dressing not too overpowering. Had a side of delicious soup that I can't spell or pronounce. Started with a G. Beef and potatoes Seasoned with nutmeg. Perfect on this cold day! Can't wait to come back and try some of their desserts.
