This has turned out to be quite a find in a small strip mall that you would probably drive right past. Decided to try it when the line at the Einstein Bagel place next door was way too long and so glad I did!The customer service is remarkable. So friendly and welcoming. What Kyle Billeaudeaux doesn't like about L&l Hawaiian Barbecue:
Don’t waste your time. I was the only customer and I ordered a burger. They processed my payment, then came back and told me they had no buns. I got a pork and cabbage bowl. The chunks of cabbage were huge. It didn’t taste “bad” but it’s nothing I would ever eat again. It’s only two employees with absolutely nothing going on. They could tell the cashier “oh hey we don’t have buns” at any point of the day? It’s not li... View all feedback.
I was looking forward to picking some of this up, as I had a BYOB. I ordered 2 chicken and veggie bowls. The order taker was a middle aged lady that acted as if she was doing me a favor, taking my order. Not friendly, no smile. I waited about 10 minutes for my order, which wasn’t terribly bad. When I got home, about 10 minute later, I opened dinner up and immediately noticed that the veggies appeared to have been in a steamer all day long. They were lacking fresh color and were extremely mushy. Yuk! My chicken wasn’t much better. It also appeared to have been prepared hours before. The sauce was the saving grace. The icing on the cake was that both bowls food temperature was at the very best tepid. This meal works out to over $9.00 each without the BOGO. I had heard that it was pretty good. Unfortunately quality control is not of much importance. It probably would have been a lot better, had it been fresh and hot.
Having lived in Oahu, Hawaii, I'm incredibly picky when it comes to Hawaiian food. I can confidently say that L&L is authentic. Their musubis are to die for!

The tables are always clean and the music is just loud enough to hear, but not so loud that you have to shout over it to talk with your companions.I recommend them highly.

Since moving to New Braunfels a few months ago I’ve discovered this place the very next day and have been loving it ever since. Their food never disappoints even when we order delivery, they give very good portions and food has great flavor. I also love their dessert cake or mochi, highly recommend this place!
