While there wasn't a buffet, the porterhouse steak I had was outstanding and cooked just the way I wanted it. The service was excellent, and I definitely plan to return for more steaks in the future. View all feedback.
What Vivien Jones doesn't like about Country Pride:
There's a place I go to meet my drivers as they come through New Braunfels. The service is always as best that they can be but let's keep in mind this is a truck stop Travel Plaza buffet that stays on too long food that is tasteless and greasy, hence the term greasy spoon. View all feedback.
I love the manager at this location. She is on her game and very friendly. They removed the buffet but ordering off the menu is just as good.
Food was not too bad, buffet available. Waitress was OK, little pushy to order. Better place than all fast food restaurants at truck stops. At least you can eat something healthier.
The price was very high not a place for kids you pay full price. The food was very good for a buffet. The price for me 1 adult and 3 kids under 13 was like 60 dollars was too much.
Out of brisket. I had plans of getting dinner for 4. Which included pork, chicken, brisket and sausage. I was very disappointed. Went over to Bill Miller's
One of the worst breakfasts I have ever had. The biscuit was so hard and chewy I had to use my steak knife to cut it. Asked for American cheese and big surprise I got cheddar. What a waste of time. The waitress was good.
