Description

Tucked off the Cooperstown Beverage Trail, this small, no-frills brewery blends rustic barnlike charm and picnic-table outdoor seating with uneven beer quality and hit-or-miss service. Standouts like a crisp hefeweizen, Porkslap and occasional seasonal releases share the taps with forgettable pours; growlers and some cans are available but seasonals may not be canned. Tours are limited, cell service and Wi-Fi are unreliable. It's a worthy trail stop for beer fans and day-trippers, but not a dependable destination for craft purists.

I visited this restaurant while exploring the Cooperstown Beverage Trail, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. If you do decide to go, you absolutely have to try the snapperhead—it's a standout dish! I highly recommend this place and would definitely return in the future!

Tucked away in a remote location, we stopped by this brewery to check off a destination on the Cooperstown Beverage Trail. The beers were merely average; I opted for a flight of drafts since I had already tried their canned options before. Unfortunately, the Oktoberfest and Pumpkin Saison were quite forgettable, and the IPA didn't deliver the hoppy punch I was expecting. If you're looking for exceptional beer, I wouldn't recommend this place. However, if you're on a mission to complete the trail, it’s a necessary stop. Be aware that there's no cell service, and the Wi-Fi was quite slow once our group of six attempted to connect. To be honest, we had more fun taking photos at the Pork Slap cutout than we did enjoying the beer.

The ambiance was somewhat dreary, but the beer was excellent. This establishment is part of the beverage trail and offers a variety of delicious brews.

This place is more distribution based than it is set up as a retail space. The bar is this odd open front that's got a low ceiling, cracked walls, and a sad washed up bar tenderess. Do bartenders often drink with their clientele? Is that thing? It's 4.30 on as Friday, and they close at 5 PM, is that about right? She wouldn't stop talking about how she lived in New York City once, and it apparently broke all her hopes and dreams. We;re not therapists, please just tell us about the beer. The brews were uninspiring, and the ones from the tap has a sickly flow. Weak pour from the taps make me wonder if there's a lead somewhere allowing bacteria to seep in and grow. This was my least favorite stop on the Coopertown Brew Tour.

This brewery makes a couple of solid beers. For five dollars though, their flights are kind of miserly especially considering some of the pours are from their signature cans instead of draft. Bar tender was very friendly though. They would be well served to add some food or munchies to the line up to encourage you to stay for another beer.
