My husband and I moved away from the area five years ago and always love Seros but we gave this place a go and it was almost exactly the same. We both had a gyro meal combo and it was just as delicious as we remembered! I even had to take a quart of the chicken lemon rice soup home to fulfil all of my pregnancy craving dreams : View all feedback.
What Yolanda Cross doesn't like about Akamas Family Dining:
We were here on New Year’s day with our granddaughters. We had a wide variety of dishes from homemade soup, fettuccine, tuna melt with fries and a gyro dinner. All hot, cooked perfectly. This isn’t our first time here but every meal we’ve had here is like this. A great food experience. View all feedback.
Very good food! This is not to say that I didn't expect a good meal, but it exceeded my expectations. I thought the cream of the broccoli soup was a great temperature (hot, but do not burn your tongue hot) and a good mix, the jumbo gyro was very thick with a large mix of onions, tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce, along with delicious and generous lamb. The Sherbet ice cream was great, and the price for this generous meal was surprisingly low. A great visit to a place that obviously tastes first. New visit later: The soup was back at the temperature, not burn your tongue hit, but hot. Ribs were excellent! Several visits later Many good dishes, dinners are good and come with desert, rice pudding is great!
Awesome place to eat. Awesome food and service. Marie the waitress was great. I recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Some of the negative reviews to read, I would have to say that they are probably total bs from some who return the change of property and are racist to boot. Ignore them. My personal experience was so perfect that I have no words to be righteous. Shades of Paradise Lost! It was like getting back 35 years back to the best years of the last American history, the 80s! Food quality was EXCELLENT and service prompt, attentive and polite. Definitely a favorite and the 's say something as I discover and evaluate restaurants all over America on all 48 lower states.

We're in town visiting and ate at Akamas at the suggestion of our family as they frequent this restaurant. Noting: our family members are older and very particular eaters who usually complain about meals at other restaurants (so we knew the food must be good! . We ordered the Sunday specials: swiss steak for me and my husband ordered the fish with mac cheese. Our family ordered a favored chicken gyro. The portions were huge and the food was absolutely perfect! Our meals came with dessert choice of ice cream, rice pudding, or jello. We opted for rice pudding and it was delicious! The coffee was perfect and the staff friendly. The restaurant is clean with a quiet atmosphere. We will definitely eat here again. The restaurant has a small bar which offers wine liquor. We don't drink so I can't speak to the wine choices but for those who do like to have a glass of wine with dinner I thought I'd note that it is offered.
