Very small inside, food is good, priced higher then all of the surrounding bar/grills in the area.

Max's is cute and cozy. We arrived after dark and onsite parking consisted of maybe four spots (not sure if you are supposed to park on the highway or across the street once that fills up). It is out in the middle of nowhere so be prepared to have zero cell service. Our waitress was great!!! Very friendly and checked back in with us at the appropriate times. The bar made a perfect brandy old fashioned. My husband had a pizza and enjoyed it. My mom and I each ordered the Friday fish fry (beer battered haddock), and it was pretty good.I guess I don't understand the pricing for the fish fry since it wasn't outstanding or generous in portions, but I guess maybe since they are out in the boonies they can charge it due to lack of competition. But, they do need to consider that for the same price one can have fish fry at Wissota High Shores Supper Club and have a massive soup salad bar included. Just a thought . . .
