I ordered from Ciao Chow for the first time tonight, having heard many great things about this restaurant. Since moving to New Albany, it was one place I was eager to try. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed, especially considering the amount I spent on the food. The fettuccine and spaghetti were very bland and lacked flavor—almost completely tasteless, to be honest. The fettuccine reminded me of watery cream, and the spaghetti sauce felt like simply pouring a can of tomato sauce over the noodles. I had high hopes for a wonderful meal, but it really didn’t live up to the expectations. I ended up throwing away the food. It definitely needs more seasoning. Overall, I cannot recommend the food at all.
Ciao Chow is, without exaggeration, the best Italian food in all of north Mississippi. The food, atmosphere, and location are outstanding. It’s nice to have such a great restaurant right here in our backyard!
The owner of this restaurant is one of the friendliest I've ever encountered. He made an effort to greet every customer as they arrived and visited the tables. We ordered the gnocchi with marinara sauce, spinach, and chicken, which was quite good. We also had a small antipasto salad, and it was a generous portion. When we asked our high school-aged server if we could share the gnocchi, he said he wasn’t allowed to bring an extra plate. We managed with our empty salad plate, but honestly, that seemed a bit off. He didn’t return to check on us, although the owner did come by to see how everything was. Additionally, our server didn’t ask if we wanted dessert before bringing the check. It seems he could use some training. Overall, though, Ciao Chow is a decent choice for Italian food (I’m Italian, so I have high standards).
Cute little place in a cute town! The people were so friendly. Mike treats you like family and the servers are great! We had the crab cakes, crab tortellini, and fettuccine. It was yummy!
Crab cakes are out of this world!! I've had crab cakes from a lot of places even in different states but theirs beats everything! And their pasta is delicious!

Reservations!! We wanted to celebrate our anniversary, but didn't think to make a reservation, Bummer. I should have known. The food was unbelievable when they were in Ashland and expected the same in New Albany. 3 stars because I was so disappointed that we couldn't sit, or 5 stars because we know the food is good?
The food was amazing. The chef is Italian and you can tell. The best Italian food I've ever had. The service was great and the food was very affordable.
Best Italian food! They also have gluten free penne available.

We called in advance to ask about the wait time and chose to visit anyway. Upon arriving, we were delighted to see that a table had been reserved for us—what a nice touch! A gentleman welcomed us warmly, thanked us for choosing them, and shared details about the specials. While we had our own waiter, this gentleman made a point to check in with us regularly to ensure everything was perfect. The food was utterly delicious; the Italian love was evident in every dish. We will surely return as often as possible to support this amazing restaurant.

Loved it! Love the atmosphere, the service and the delicious food which came in generous portions. It was my first time and I will definitely be going back.
I ordered from Ciao Chow for the first time tonight. I?ve always heard really good things about this place, and since moving to New Albany, it?s one that I had not tried before. I was a little disappointed, especially spending a lot of money for the food. The fettuccine and spaghetti were very bland and lacking in taste. Almost no taste at all, if I?m honest. The fettuccine wasalmost like creamy noodle water and the sauce for the spaghetti was like getting a can of tomato sauce and dumping it on top ofnoodles. I was hoping for a good experience but it definitely did not live up to the hype. I ended up trashing the food. Itcould definitely use more flavor. Otherwise, I don?t recommend the food at all.

We called ahead to find out what the wait would be and decided to go ahead and go. Upon arriving, we found that they had reserved a table for us which was awesome. A man greeted us and told us how much he appreciated our business and told us whatkind of specials they had. We had a waiter as well, but this man checked up on us periodically as well to make sure everythingwas perfect. The food was astoundingly good, you can tell they put some Italian love into it. We will be back as often as we canto support this awesome restaurant.
