Excellent service, homey surroundings and super yummy sushi options! We found our new fav sushi restaurant in the Grass Valley area

Wonderful experience, the service is exceptional and fast. It very much feels like a professional chef 's take on sushi, so there 's a lot of interesting entrees like the truffle sashimi which have these very intense flavor combinations. Personally I prefer a lighter touch, so on that note I HIGHLY recommend the salmon sashimi, they have the largest cuts of any sushi place I 've been to in the area, for a very reasonable price. They also go above and beyond with their plating, for instance the aforementioned salmon sashimi is styled like a rose, which you can see on their website. Great shooters as well! I got the scallop with shochu, and they also have a crazy sake to go with it if you 're into very sweet alcohol. Overall I think it 's well worth the visit, considering the quality of everything on the menu I feel it 's very reasonably priced.

This is a really special spot. I might have a sushi addiction, no, I do. Sushi in the Raw truly impressed me. Creative and elegant, everything from the unique flavors to beautiful presentation, the food is all skillfully crafted and the service is friendly and just the right amount attentive. I love everything about this restaurant.

A little too many dishes with mango lol, but the sushi dishes are definitely really, really good. I must admit I had my doubts, but there’s a couple of these dishes that have a nice balance of lemon kicker man. This place is a must try.
