Golden Era - Nevada City

Star Light Night in Nevada City brings back the Golden Era! The service was impeccable. I can't find the right word to describe it—perhaps “exceptional.” The chef prepared an incredible dinner tonight: steak skewers and butternut squash ravioli. Pairing it with a delicious local porter beer made it even better. We were lucky to enjoy live music from our favorite musicians on the terrace, with cozy heating at the tables. Thank you for a wonderful evening right in our neighborhood!

The outdoor area they've set up, complete with tents, tables, heating, and a stage for live performances, has been a wonderful addition during this COVID chaos. From their homemade syrups that make for fantastic cocktails to the friendly and upbeat staff, it's a must-visit for date nights, girls' nights out, or when visitors come into town. Thank you, Golden Era, for bringing a touch of class and style to the North Carolina scene. We truly love you!

The cocktails here are consistently delicious, with a focus on Mezcal. It's a stylish bar, so be prepared for a bit of a hit to your wallet. I typically order the Spring Street Paloma, The Motherload, or The Ridge. It can get quite crowded, though. The decor is classic, but I find the large pictures of women a bit unsettling for some reason. Overall, it’s a great choice for a date night.
