We had the char in a seed and kernel crust with a white wine sauce and beetroot tagliatelle. It was a dream. The wine, a Meersburg Pinot Gris, was truly excellent. The atmosphere, right on the lake, was truly beautiful, and the service was excellent and very friendly. A real insider tip—but not anymore.

Unfortunately... read more Beautiful view – culinary disappointment The restaurant impresses at first glance with its stunning location and beautiful view of Lake Constance. Unfortunately, the enthusiasm ends there. My friend had fish – it was mediocre at best and simply not convincing in terms of flavor. The potatoes served with it were actually the only truly edible thing at the table. My avocado pasta, on the other hand, was simply disastrous – I've never eaten worse pasta. While the restaurant's prices are within the usual range for the Lake Constance region, the quality offered is not up to scratch. The service was friendly but unattentive; asking for more drinks would have made the experience much more pleasant. In conclusion: If you just want a drink and enjoy the view, this is the place for you. For food and service, however, it's definitely not for you.
