One of my favourite places ever, staff is wonderful and knowledgeable and you can fully trust their wine recommendation, never failed, I love local wine as well as wonderful choice of deserts, I cannot forget top location, just wonderful place that must be visited
We came to eat at lunchtime, the setting is ideal and the dishes are really good. But, as has already been said in other reviews, we did not have the impression of being treated in the same way as some other tables. For example, we had to ask for bread after more than 30 minutes after ordering the appetizer while most other tables got it very quickly, the savory flutes never reached us and after my first glass of red wine the 2nd never arrived. These are details, I admit, but when you pay 250frs for two people you expect to be pampered from A to Z and that wasn't really the case. Other servers seemed to be much more attentive to their customers. Maybe we got it wrong, I don't know. But because of this, I can't give it 5 stars. On the other hand, I say it again, the dishes are delicious!
Excellent restaurant, sophisticated, elaborate dishes of very good quality. Impeccable discreet service. The places are calm and have a magnificent view of the lake.
Restaurant with good cuisine but nothing more for the rest. I expected better for a first.
The location by the lake is beautiful. The restaurant is architecturally a feast for the eyes. Prices are quite high for this region. But: For this price category, as a client you can expect a white fabric tablecloth on the gray table top and first class and extremely attentive service outside at least on a Sunday on the terrace. Neither was the case. The knife and fork were placed on the table sometimes from the right, sometimes from the left and not at all parallel but mostly slightly crooked or shifted, just like in a normal garden restaurant. When the glass was almost empty, the service people usually missed it; i.e. lack of attention or lack of observation of the guest tables. They were polite, though. You immediately notice that the staff, mostly foreigners (nothing against them), are not well trained for an establishment in this price category. It doesn't have to be training in Lausanne or Montreux Glion at the hotel management schools there. A mixed salad that was ordered, which was not on the menu, was quite bland and carelessly prepared in terms of sauce. The perch fillets à la meunière we ordered were boring in taste and dry and without lemons and tartar sauce, which you had to ask for. Actually an expected side dish with this dish in every, even less expensive, restaurant on Lake Neuchâtel. My wife's entrée looked delicious and was served well and beautifully. Your main meal as well as dessert. The cafe was also very good. Maybe I'm being too demanding because our son, who completed his master's degree at the Montreux Glion Hotel Management School over the course of four years, has already shown us countless times what exquisite service is. O. K., we'll definitely come back, but maybe the criticism will have some effect.
