Au centre ville de Neuchâtel en face de la poste. Ce restaurant ne paie pas de mine de prime abord. On hésiterai presque d'y rentrer. Petite terrasse devant l'établissement sur le rue principale c'est pas très glamour j'en conviens. J'y viens parfois le midi, on y mange très bien et le personnel est très accueillant et sympathique. Great discovery, choice, tasty and well presented dishes. Good welcome. For my part, the big negative point is the waiting time... Our reservation was on a Tuesday at noon... It was my first visit to this establishment. I don't know if that day was special but we had more than an hour of waiting to get our two-course meals... Ordered fried lemon chicken and there was harldy any chicken... just sauce and the frying, but almost no actual chicken meat. First time ever I had to send back a dish to the kitchen and it was charged.
Food is always good quality and very fresh, presentation excellent. We had menu canard and menu poulet which were good value for money with a soup and chicken starter and included a dessert. Another in the group had miso soup, prawn satay with Japanese rice and green tea ice cream. Portion size is correct. Would recommend.
Would recommend. We had the plat du jour, potage du ravioli and the ginger prawns. My husband had the soup and beef dish. Everything was excellent, food was beautifully presented, service was very efficient and quick even though the restaurant was quite busy. Good value for money. We will be back to try another plat du jour on another day.
