We came in this place looking for a typical German cuisine and we found it, great food and good service, they speak Italian and was even easier to place orders. Anyway if you are looking for a food place cozy and not crowded, you will...find it. View all feedback.
What a pleasurable dining experience in an equally outstanding hotel. Old school German food served by friendly and attentive staff (especially our new Croatian friend Christian). Well worth the price. Don't miss out on this restaurant if you're staying at or near this luxury hotel.
We went for the Sunday brunch at the Kempinski (which by itself is OUTSTANDING) and decided to go to the Torschaenke after. Best decision ever. Warm, cozy, welcoming are just a few adjectives to describe this place. Oli was friendly and charming and gave great...recommendations for food and drinks. The food looked amazing and tasted even better. We stayed a lot longer than anticipated and will for sure come back the next time we are in the area. Thank you!
If you like to try typical German kitchen that is your place. The menu is small but really good. The atmosphere is real great and the friendly. And not on the last place is the service. Fast and .... hmm and Oliver -the manager of...the restaurant who will not let you to go from there without a big smile on your face. Place to visit again and again.
This is a very nice typical German restaurant. Although it is inside the hotel, it is a separated building, made as typical beer German restaurant. Food is quite good and for sure it is a safe choice, since hotel is 5star. I will definitely come...again.
Stayed at Kempinski due to a Lufthansa strike. I was amused, and excited to learn how far I could go with a 30 euro voucher at the luxurious Kempinski hotel, but that worked out perfectly at Torschaenke. Wonderful, friendly, and professional service and a...great serving of roasted pig.
