Zur Talmuhle - Neu-Anspach

Perfect for people who love nature, children, dogs, bicycles... We went to this restaurant after a hike in a forest nearby. On the menu they have mainly carving and pork steaks with various side orders and sauces. We chose the pig steaks and they were delicious! We also had a sausage and cheese plate as a starter. The sausage and cheese were good, but we expected a better bread. The bread they had was quite industrial bread. The beautiful stuff would have perfectly matched with peasant bread.

It's a bit outside the main roads, but it was easy to find. staff is friendly, food is great, and prices are reasonable. If it is decent outside, sit back in the garden

Not sure why, but every time I passed this restaurant it was either closed or full., It seems more of a 'Group Booking' type of space, not the usual drop-by and take a table type of restaurant. It is a ride from New Anspach and forget this all in winter., you have a very steep ride on a road that becomes a road in winter with the snow, so if a car in the other way (below the hills) You have no option but the whole way back down and then start again from the bottom of the very steep hill! Not ideal and dangerous to boot, then you still need the rest of the road to the restaurant in winter.... In the summer, as I said, it's either closed or booked out to a group, unless your group would I do this a great miss...

Its a drive out of Neu Anspach and forget this totally in winter., you have a very very steep drive up a road that becomes a one way street in winter with the snow so if a car is coming the other way (down the hill) you have no option but to back all the way down again and then start again from the bottom of the very steep hill ! Not ideal and dangerous to boot., then you have to still traverse the rest of the road to the restaurant in winter.... In summer as I said it is either closed or booked out to a group so unless your a group I would give this a big miss...
