In italia is a “Forno” a kind of bakery that bakes brot, not baked. forno paoloni is the third generation in owned and operated. not only bake them brot, but in the morning they have focaccia and “morning” pizzas that have less toppings than normal pizza. on the afternoons, they may have roasted chicken meat with carrots or other dinner dishes — not a large selection, and they should probably preorder. they also have simple cakes and biscuits — the species we refer as ‘casereccio’ in italy — housewives style, not delicate baked cards as they find in a bakery — there is a certain difference in italy between a bakery and a bakery! paoloni has received the gambero rosso award.
