My husband and I are used to visit Nettuno and Latina area and we always found all the restaurants very good or at least with a very good price quality ratio and value for money. The Cacciatori reataurant where we went today was undoubtedly the worst of all we've visited so far. The service was exceptionaly unfriendly, unprofessional and slow. Although we've booked a table we were given the worst one situated just near to the door. The mixed starters I ordered were poor and trivial, especially if taken into consideration the price of 30€. The rest of the food was anyway overpriced and very banal. One can eat for a half of the price they charge much better in almost every other restaurant of the area.
We made an afternoon trip by train from Rome to Nettuno only to visit this restaurant. It was well worth the trip! Very pleasant ambiance, warmly furnished with family photos (the family has owned the restaurant since 1896), friendly staff, excellent meal. I don't know exactly what we had, since we asked the owner to just bring us whatever he thought we would like, but I know there was an amazing polenta antipasto, a divine dish with octopus. Everything was perfectly prepared and delectable. The best meal I had in Italy!
