Both were well-dressed and conducted themselves politely, but they told me not to send them back because they encountered unfriendliness related to our race. When I shared this with another friend, they shared a similar experience. One of my friends even mentioned that a woman rolled her eyes at him, made him wait while she chatted with someone else, and then rolled her eyes again in disgust when he inquired about the order.

They were both dressed nicely and carried themselves well, but they asked me not to send them back because they felt the staff was unfriendly towards our race. I was surprised to hear this because another friend had shared the same sentiment. One of them mentioned that a lady actually rolled her eyes at him and made him wait while she chatted with someone else. When he asked about his order, she rolled her eyes again in disgust. He decided he wouldn't spend his hard-earned money there like I do, but I assumed they were just having a bad day until my girlfriend had a similar experience. They both felt they were treated differently compared to white customers. My friend also mentioned that a Black woman works there, which raised some questions about the reasons behind hiring practices. Curious about their experiences, I decided to go inside myself and unfortunately had a similar experience. I won't be spending my money there again. This is the South we live in, and while it may not feel like home, we have to navigate through it carefully. Only God can truly change a person's heart towards others. We must strive to be transformed into the image of His Son and be reborn. We should listen to His words, repent, confess, and act according to the teachings of the Bible. He is returning soon, without a doubt. On a positive note, the whole catfish, fries, and hushpuppies were delicious, and the sweet tea was decent. However, on one occasion, I ordered two plates and the fish wasn’t cleaned properly—it had an unpleasant muddy taste. The hamburger meat wasn’t good either; it had a seasoning that reminded me of Salisbury steak, which didn’t go well on a burger with mayo, ketchup, and mustard.
