$15 salad. 3 cherry tomatoes, 2 very small leaves of Artichoke, coarse-edged old olives, 4 small rings of red onion. Italian salad!!!!!! Salad in a bag is better. Cut like a cracker or a small bread, maybe a cheese or salami. Ridiculous salad. Atmosphere is great to hang beautiful place, simply overpriced and underwhelming eats.
What User doesn't like about The Cafe On Hawk Creek:
Your fish and chips were stellar. Last order was small fish, overbreaded and costed by corn flour and spice salt. Previously, the lush fish was in a crispy Tempoura battery. Nothing to write home. Coleslaw was also meh. Tested like a handful of bagged cabbage without spices or cripples. What happened? View all feedback.

If I could write a love song about a restaurant, it would be about the Hawk Creek Cafe. I'll just be the choir of fans who say they serve the best oven pizza ever. But take a moment when you try this jewel to die their excellent selection of Oregon wines, desserts and then the next day for their prestigious breakfast. It is cheap, family-run and operated and prepares everything fresh. Not many places like this left to enjoy, so try it and you will not be disappointed. A recommendation not to be on a tight schedule; this place is so popular with dedicated regular that it can be busy and it can wait. But anyway.
The HCC used to be an awesome restaurant, but has really changed. The menu has been drastically reduced most of the non fast food entrees have been eliminated. The chowder, which used to be one of the best in the region, is watery and flavorless. The only good news is that the pizza is still well made, and the desserts (when they are available) are quite good. Unless you want pizza, go somewhere else.
